1 Day Spring Yoga Retreat 

Sunday 8th October | 10am-5pm

 

This spring take a day out for yourself and invite Lightness & Energy into the body and mind with a spring themed day of yoga practices to Detoxify, Nourish  & Rejuvenate.

Over the course of the morning we will explore dynamic practices that encourage internal spring cleaning, helping to shed any layers of excess accumulated during the colder winter months. The practices help support the healthy functioning of the abdominal organs, especially the kidneys and liver, stimulate the endocrine system and help to remove sluggishness from the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. The posture session will be followed with cleansing, energising pranayama practices and meditation. 

After lunch the pace will slow down with a Nourishing Restorative posture session, followed with even deeper Rest and Relaxation in a guided Yoga Nida practice. There will be some time for personal reflection and journaling intentions for the coming season so please bring writing materials.

Taking mindful silence for the day is your personal choice, it can help deepen your experience of the practices by turning the awareness inwards.

1 Day Winter Yoga Retreat

A day of yoga practices which support and encourage us to connect to the wisdom of natures cycles as we move from Autumn into Winter.

Here we will allow ourselves the space and time to reflect on the cycle of the seasons in our yoga practice, and reflecting the energies in nature which turn inward over winter, we will dive deep into ourselves. 

Over the course of the day we will move from a warming, steady flow morning asana class with a focus on practices which support the healthy functioning of the lungs and large intestine, (organs associated with Autumn) and the immune sysytem which is often weakened over winter, to warming pranayama (breathing practices) to help ground and balance Vata (the dosha or energy predominant in Autumn) 
After lunch we will slow the pace right down with a long Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation) and a restorative "rest and digest" afternoon posture session using bolsters to support the body so it can fully surrender into these nourishing practices. 

This retreat offers you the option of taking mindful silence for the day if you wish. 

A seasonal vegetarian lunch is included.
